7New and unusual behavior for my mare.
She purposely tried to get me off by bucking, kicking and charging the wall in the arena. I waited until she settled a little and then jumped off. I did get back on and I was very cautious. She rode horribly the rest of the hour and was completely out of sorts.

8Teaching manners to stallions.
I recently purchased a quarter horse stallion in June of 2003. He had been kept in a 30x30 stall for five years. He was out as a two year old to have about 30 days of riding. Then back in never seeing another horse. This lady that had him would just go in the stall with him and love on him....

9Horse pulls reins from my hands
My horse is just wonderful for me but he has a head problem. He pulls on my reins constantly. He pulls the reins out of my hands completely, at least twice every ride....

12Meanie horse or not?

18horse behavior: Filly too playful sometimes

20Spooky Herd Bound Horse

21Mean Young Stallion
....The trainer stated he was too immature to deal with. He has been exercised on a lunge line and been allowed to roam in a pasture on his own. 22What can I do to assure her safety?
..we came upon a filly that was being abused by his owner. ... The former owner would latterly wrestle the 5 month old to the ground, causing cuts and bruises trying to halter her. So needless to say now she is terrified of a halter, or any one approaching her...

23Yearling colt afraid of spray
..Could give me some tips for getting my 15 month old baby used to baths. He HATES water on his hind legs and gets upset and dances when the hose is turned on. I've been wetting a sponge and wiping him with that and he dances but it is better. I really need to bathe him...

25Abnormal stallion problem?

26The case of the stubborn stallion.
...we have been feeding her out of our hands. I have just read that this is a big NO NO. Well yesterday she acted a little different, I couldn't put my hands on it. One of my friends was with us, and Sassy Jo (horse) reached accross the fence and bit her shirt. YES, she bit it, not a nip. My friend had on ALOT of perfume, and a very bright colored shirt, had reds, yellows, blues in it, was a tie died shirt. My first question is can the perfume and bright colors ...

...with his love of attention I decide that if he bit at me I would put him back in his pen and not give him attention as punishment although I don't know if this will be any help at all. I did read about the spray bottle and thought that may be a good idea...

29Horse kicking and aggression

30Difficult, abused horse
..I just got my own horse and she was abused by people before I got her. She is always trying to bite people, even if you are just walking past her. She always likes to rear up when you ride her.I was told it was just becasue she was a mare. Do you know of any hints I could use to help her? Do you think she'll get out of it?? She's about 11 years old.
