Hi Franklin,
I just now read where you answered my email about my moody ex-race horse mare and yes, I knew I needed some of your teaching videos so we got on Ebay and ordered the first of many (I hope) as you are really easy to understand and I love the way you love and respect the horses as I do too and have never believed in abusing one.
Your question and answer site has helped me a lot also. And yes, Sonja is getting a lot better with me and as a matter of fact, we just got a gentle gelding Palamino. Sonja is a little jealous of him so I watch that real close and make sure I spread my attention evenly when I am with them. I have been doing a great deal of ground work with her and she has even been nuzzling me and "talking" to me in the morning when I feed her so you were right about "it taking more time than we think..." and I have stopped letting her "run off with me" just like you had advised (and I will get her off the high protein since I just read that in your last answer)...

PS - My new horse had to have his tail cut off because of burr's in it? (that is what the last owner said) and I was wondering if you knew how long it would take to grow back as you can tell he had a beautiful thick white tail at one time....

Thanks for the kind email. I am delighted I have been able to assist you with some good suggestions. I don't think my DVD's and vids are available on Ebay. Only through my website's shopping corral. If any of mine are available on Ebay, please let me know as it would be a real surprise.
Tails take quite a while to grow in. Cutting a horse's tail because of burrs, etc. is a cop out for being too lazy to take the time to remove the burrs without cuttin the tail. Horses need their tails for protection from flies, other flying pests, for assistance with cooling themselves and more. Expect a year or so before you see some good growth. Please don't let his tail get that bad again. Let me know if I can be of additional assistance.
